Dear Readers,
This poet often wonders; why do we repeatedly fall for the same person each time, hoping for a different outcome? Is this a human frailty or a persistent delusion, clinging to the belief that our ultimate love will return despite knowing it may never last? How can we be so intelligent in many aspects yet so naive and deluded in matters of the heart?

Once more, you killed me
False promises, false hopes.
You came from nowhere,
A shadow, meaningless to me.
But I gave you meaning,
Breathed life into your hollow world,
Offering you a place in my soul.
We came together,
The world spun once more,
And the earth trembled beneath our feet.
Hearts beat fiercely in unison,
Eyes locked in a passion untold.
Yet the story remained the same
Foretold by the ghosts of our past.
When I needed you the most,
You abandoned me to the dark yet again,
Vanishing without a second thought.
Careless whispers, idiotic excuses,
Waiting for the moment
To justify your fear stricken retreat.
You cut me out again
Another face yet the same cruel spirit.
Why did I trust you once more?
Never again, oh, never again.
Were you thinking of another?
Were you trying to erase your past,
Seeking validation in my gaze?
Or was I the one lost in a different time,
Chasing the ghost of a love long gone,
As your haunting eyes stared back,
Taunting me, once more?
They say time heals all,
But not for you, Oh cursed of the shadows
Shall you ever find joy
Will you ever know peace.
Oh thief of the night!
The betrayal you inflicted
On a loving, innocent heart
Will echo in your soul forever.
As you turn from me in your cruel silence,
Know that your suffering shall forever be greater
Far more than mine…
As my heart turns once more to stone,
Hardened by lies and broken promises.
Enveloped in a shield of smoke and darkness
Yet again.
You stole from me in the darkness
My hateful beloved thief ….
