“You”

In the depths of my soul’s demise,
I ponder when it took its first aching cry,
Perhaps at birth, when life began anew,
Or disillusioned by a world askew.
One by one, dreams shattered in despair,
A tender heart too heavy to bear,
Ensnared by love’s cruel minuet,
Leaving a hallow emptiness deep within me.
Countless “you”s came and went,
Leaving only a void and discontent,
Then You, entered my existence,
In Your presence, my soul eternally felt serene.
We danced with fearless, soaring delight,
Yet even then we couldn’t escape the night,
You vowed to drive all night and traverse seven seas for Us to be together
Another death! My soul drowning in darkness
In hidden depths, where silent screams echo madding.
Once more, the body and spirit falter,
But from the ashes, we’ll find our altar,
To rise again, bathed in the sun’s embrace,
In this cycle of death, we find our forever peace.
In the endless ebb and flow of fate,
We await a new chapter at the soul’s gate,
Embracing life’s dance, both joy and pain,
As we await death of our souls, once again and yet again.
